깊은 바다 속이 그러하듯 물레 위를 도는 흙 속에서도 일상과는 다른 시간을 경험할 수 있다.
바다를 일렁이게 하는 파도처럼 회전하는 물레 역시 반복적인 리듬과 다양한 현상을 드러낸다.
물레 안의 시간은 시작도 끝도 없으며, 멈춘 것은 아니나 움직임이 없는 고요하고 온전한 시간이다.
나의 그릇 ‘심피(心皮)’ 는 물레 작업을 통해 경험해 온 그러한 시간여행의 흔적이다.
바닷가에서 발견한 조개 껍질처럼 ‘심피(心皮)’ 는 구애 없이 담고 다시 비우고자 하는 마음의 그릇이다.
